Iquitos Wonder of the World

Transfer from the Airport or your Hotel to the city of Iquitos where you will receive a brief description of the city on your route to the pier to begin our journey (9:00 am approx.), Boat ride along the Nanay River until you reach the majestic Amazon River, the largest in the world, arriving at our first stop. Visit Fundo Pedrito, an animal farm where we will feed the paiches, piranhas, caimans, turtles, parrots, macaws, anacondas and appreciate the famous Victoria Regia plant. Arrival at Avatar Amazon Lodge, lunch and check in. Botanical walk or canoe ride We have professional native guides who know all the trails in the area. You will be able to observe the typical flora and fauna of the place and learn about the multiple uses that local people give to each plant. Dinner 7:00pm enjoy a delicious dinner and our cozy bar.

Night excursion When night falls you will be guided on a walk or canoe through the mysterious jungle in order to observe tarantulas, cicadas, spiders, scorpions, praying mantises.

Sunrise excursion at 4:30am where we can enjoy the sunrise in this wonderful landscape unique in the world. Birdwatching This morning walk will take you to observe and see the typical birds of the area in all their splendor, do not forget your camera and be quiet so as not to scare away the animals. Breakfast 8:00am return to our ecolodge to enjoy a delicious breakfast. Hike to the Avatar "MIRADOR" with 25 meters high from where you can appreciate a wonderful view of the jungle and enjoy AVATAR AMAZON PARK and our new attraction CANOPY! with a circuit of 10 stations: we will launch ourselves through 5 zip lines of different levels and lengths, 2 hanging bridges, pendulum, climbing net and rappelling ... an experience full of adrenaline! (maximum weight allowed 100kgs). Visit to the indigenous community "Yaguas" one of the 23 native communities of the Amazon River whose settlement very close to our ecolodge will allow you to enjoy an exhibition of their songs, dances, ways of hunting and crafts, candy for the children of the community as well as clothing are well received! Excursion to the Neiser Free Animal Reserve we will visit this large and original space where the monkeys will be waiting for you to have fun and get a little of your attention. We will also observe macaws, parrots, sloths, prehistoric turtle "mata mata" and the very feared anaconda or boa constrictor. Lunch at 1:00 pm at Avatar Amazon Lodge. Walk in the Jungle Exploration of the tree "La Ceiba de la Selva" or known by the indigenous people as Huimba with almost 500 years of age and an imposing height of up to 160 feet and 10 feet in diameter. Dinner at 7:00 pm enjoy a delicious dinner and our cozy bar. Legends and stories based on Amazonian mythology told by the guides. Overnight at Avatar Amazon Lodge.

Breakfast 8:00am at Avatar Amazon Lodge. We will go out on our Full Day Adventure in the jungle, we will navigate the Amazon River until we reach one of its branches and visit the town of San Juan de Huachalado, which we will cross, meeting its locals and its diverse flora and fauna until we reach the Yanayacu River, a black water river. We will spend the day exploring and carrying out fishing, navigation and hiking activities, we will see the famous giant tree called Lupuma, we will find the tarzan vines on the way and our guide will be in charge of carrying out the lunch. Lunch at any local's house or camp type in the jungle. Visit to the Trapiche in San Juan de Huachalado, a place where you can learn how the typical alcoholic beverages of the place are made and taste them... A Full Day of adventure and contact with nature! Return to Avatar Amazon Lodge. Dinner 7:00pm enjoy a delicious dinner and our cozy bar. Cocktail night in our bar you can learn how to prepare local cocktails with our typical pisco, the national drink. You will be given a drink on the house. Overnight at Avatar Amazon Lodge.

Walk and introduction to Medicinal Plants The Amazon jungle is full of plants with countless uses such as Cat's Claw, Caña Agria, Copaiba, Aguaje and the mother plant Ayahuasca. In these places where medicines do not reach, the natives learn and teach us how to use them according to the information transmitted by their ancestors. Exploration of the tree “La Ceiba de la Selva” or known by the indigenous people as Huimba, almost 500 years old and with an imposing height of up to 160 feet and 10 feet in diameter. Breakfast at Avatar Amazon Lodge. Visit the community of Fátima, a community close to our ecolodge where you can learn about their customs, drinks and ways of life. Plant a Tree before leaving our jungle, participate in the reforestation program of our Amazon. Departure 12:30m. Lunch 1:00pm at Avatar Amazon Lodge. Transfer approximately 2:30pm sailing along the Amazon River, return to your hotel in the city of Iquitos or to the airport directly. Arrival in Iquitos approximately 4:00pm. Last transfer included.
