Travel Itinerary
Day 1: City tour Huancayo
Reception at the land terminal and transfer to the hotel, Breakfast and City Tour, Visiting: The “Huanca Identity Park” (Built entirely of stones), Cerrito de la Libertad, a strategic place located on top of a hill, from where you have a panoramic view of the city and part of the Mantaro Valley, continuing with the visit you will visit the Old Cathedral and the Plaza Constitución. Return to the Hotel
Day 2: Chupaca/arwaturo/ñahuinpuquio lagoon/warivilca
Visit to the Province of Chupaca, the “Shapis” viewpoint, visit to the Independence Square. Through landscape scenes we move to the district of Ahuac, we will take a walk Approx. (30 minutes) towards the Archaeological remains of Arwanturo. We return through some stairs to take our boat ride in the Ñahuinpuquio lagoon. Continuing our journey we arrive at the oldest town in the Mantaro Valley/Santiago León de Chongos Bajo/La Iglesia de Chongos and Cani Cruz, we return to the Left bank to reach Azapampa. where you will have time for lunch (Pachamanca, Carnero al palo, guinea pig among other varieties - not included) we end with a visit to the Warivilca sanctuary. Site museum. Return to Huancayo
Day 3: Ingenio /paca lagoon/ocopa convent
Breakfast at the hotel and Tour to the Craft Centers of the Hualhuas District (textile crafts) and San Jerónimo (filigree work) / Concepción (visit to the dairy plant). We head towards Laguna de Paca in Jauja where we will have a boat ride. We return to Ingenio to visit the trout farm where you can see the techniques used for trout reproduction. Time for lunch (not included) We finish with a visit to the Ocopa Convent. Return to Huancayo.
