Tour Fiestas Patrias Cusco

“Temple of the Sun” its perfect architecture and stone construction reflect the fact that it was the most important temple of the Inca empire, Cusco city tour.

This construction is attributed to the Incas of the last dynasties, it is located 3km from the city of Cusco, in the upper part. According to the chroniclers, it was a solar shrine, this temple was built with large blocks of limestone to protect the city from the attacks of the invaders from the east or Antis. It is made up of three large terraces superimposed in a zigzag shape and bordered by enormous rock walls.

Located one kilometer from Sacsayhuaman, it was a ceremonial center since in the central part you can see a giant monolith, possibly of an animal, which was the main deity, surrounded by niches, where offerings were placed.

At the bottom, there are other niches and an altar that was used to embalm bodies or perhaps for sacrifices dedicated to their Gods.

Old dairy farm, surveillance post along the roads. Its construction is rustic, made up of alleys, houses, and patios.

It is located 9 km. of the city, known as the Inca baths due to the shape of its water fountains, could also have been a temple dedicated to the worship of water and purification for the Inka. It has three platforms with several niches where offerings were placed.

In the afternoon we continue the tour to the Inca Town and Fortress of Ollantaytambo, a gigantic administrative, agricultural, civil, military and religious complex, from the time of Tawantinsuyo.

At night at approximately 7:00 p.m., we board the train to the town of Aguas Calientes, where our representative will be waiting to accommodate you at the Hotel.

At approximately 9:00 p.m., our Guide will place you at the Hotel to give you instructions for the excursion to Machupicchu the next day.

After breakfast and at approximately 6.00 am, we take the bus to ascend 400 meters. tall; along a zigzagging path and for 30 minutes until you reach the incredible wonder of the World “The Sanctuary of Machupicchu”, known as “The Lost City of the Incas”. Where we can enjoy the sunrise in Machupicchu.

At the Sanctuary of Machupicchu, we will begin our guided excursion, visiting the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sundial, the royal quarters, the temple of the Three Windows and the cemeteries. The tour lasts approximately two hours.

Then you will be given free time to take a walk around the citadel. Immediately we will take the bus to the town of Aguas Calientes, where you can eat your food in one of the various restaurants in the town.

We will take the return train to the town of Poroy, (depending on the departure time of your train) the return will follow the same route as the outward trip and when you arrive at the train station, we will be waiting for you to transfer you to the City of Cusco.
