Travel Itinerary
Day 1: / Iquitos - Ceiba Tops
Reception at the airport, brief orientation of the city on the way to the Explorama pier. Travel 40km by boat along the Amazon River to Ceiba Tops, where air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms with hot water will provide you with the comfort of home, in the middle of the Rainforest. Afternoon walk around a beautiful primary forest surrounded by large trees, such as the giant Ceiba tree, which gave its name to the lodge. After dinner you can listen to local music with guitar and flute at the "El Tucán" Bar, or hike to see alligators and other nocturnal animals.
Day 2: / Ceiba Tops
Early morning excursion for those who want to see birds. After breakfast, boat excursion looking for the two types of river dolphins, gray and pink, on the way to visit a small community of the Yagua Natives, where your guide will explain about their culture. There will be the opportunity to appreciate some of the local crafts and also a demonstration of the use of the blowpipe, which, today, some of the Yaguas still use for hunting. In the afternoon excursion to the riverside town of Indiana and if the weather is good, you will be able to see the sunset on the Amazon River.
Day 3: / Ceiba Tops - Iquitos
Walking or boat excursion to appreciate more of the Amazon Rainforest or free time to enjoy the facilities in the middle of the jungle. Return to Iquitos for your flight to Lima. Breakfast, Lunch (if your departure flight allows it)
