Travel Itinerary
Day 01 - Iquitos - Ceiba tops
Reception at the airport or hotel and transfer to the Explorama pier. Travel by boat 40km down the Amazon River to Ceiba Tops, where air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms with hot water will provide you with the comfort of home, in the middle of the Rainforest. In the afternoon walk through the jungle and primary forest surrounded by large trees, such as the giant Ceiba tree, which gave its name to the lodge. After dinner, a night walk, where you can observe insects, toads, tarantulas and listen to the sounds of the jungle.
Day 02 - Ceiba tops
Early morning bird watching excursion. After breakfast, boat excursion and observing the two types of gray and pink river dolphins, we continue to visit the Yagua Native community, where your guide will explain about their culture. There will be the opportunity to appreciate some of the local crafts and also a demonstration of the use of the blowgun, which today some of the Yaguas still use for hunting. In the afternoon boat excursion to Piranha Fishing, and if the weather is good, you will be able to appreciate the sunset on the Amazon River.
Day 03 - Ceiba tops
Excursion after breakfast walk until reaching a lake to observe the aquatic plants victorias regias, lizards and taricayas. In the afternoon visit and walk in the district of Indiana that was founded by Franciscan missionaries.
Day 04 - Ceiba tops - iquitos
Boat excursion to appreciate more of the Amazon Rainforest, visit and walk through a riverside town and appreciate the customs of the town. In the afternoon return to Iquitos to our pier, transfer to the airport or hotel in the city.
